Popular belief goes that Sultan Sikandar Lodi, the Ruler of Delhi Sultanate established this city in the year 1504. After the demise of Sikandar Lodi, his son Sultan Ibrahim Lodi succeeded him. He continued ruling his Sultanate fromAgratill the year 1526, when he was overpowered by Baburin the First battle of Panipat.
